What is Blue Monday?
Blue Monday is the third Monday of January and has been labelled as the most depressing day of the year. This year Blue Monday falls on the 17th of January.

Still, Arnall includes the variables weather (C), debts from Christmas purchases (D), January’s salary (d), the time elapsed since Christmas vacation (T ), the purposes of leaving behind bad habits (I), positive motivations (M) and the need for changes (NA). They make the third Monday in January feel more afflicted and pessimistic than at any other time of the year. Although for many others, Blue Monday also has a musical meaning, from New Order with its mythical self-titled song to Frank Sinatra with a dream.
